ABOUT

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist trained in the Somatic orientation which includes attention to our past and present bodily experience and senses. Somatics attends to the embodied self.  Our bodies are a rich source of information and a means to be more present in the now, expanding a sense of aliveness.

I am informed by the great work of many clinicians and theorists. That said, I am not wed to any one theory or way of working. We make use of what serves your greater good in the present. Resourcing is an important aspect of my work, emphasizing self care which can include exercise, sleep, meditation and expressive arts.

My desire is to be a support and a partner in your growth. I ask that you join me in being curious about you and to treat our work as a lab for learning which you can take outside of our sessions and apply to your life.

I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh and after a successful career in technology (fin-tech and software tools),  I found I strongly desired deeper relationship, service and heart in my work. Upon receiving Somatic psychotherapy myself, I returned to school to complete my Masters degree in Somatic Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies/Somatic Psychotherapy Program. For a period I straddled both the worlds of technology and psychology.

I have worked with children and families as well, but am fully devoted to my private practice with adult individuals and couples presently.

have seen clients since 2000 and I love this work.
